Bad white backgrounds

Hi,

Why was the background in phone, dialer, contacts, email, sms, etc changed to white?! It is nothing but ridiculous. Had the text itself been black atleast, instead of grey, things would have been bearable, but as it is now, its very hard to read any text in said applications. Its stupid. Why was this done? When will it be reverted?

Thanks for ruining an otherwise great phone. Way to go!

there are myriad apps on the play store that allow you to customize them as please.

I wish Sony would allow us to customize the messaging app

I know there are a myriad of apps. I dont want a myriad of apps. As I stated, I would like SE to explain this idiotic change and revert it.

I don't have any information regarding background for decisions made at the development but i have forwarded this as feedback.

Cant be that hard to give users the option for changing the background.

On my xperia v, i need sunglases during use in the night time, if i wanna check my mails, sms etc....

When we first got the phone it was perfect with the black backgrounds.... wonder what the developer was thinking, and for what reason it got changed....

Its  V E R Y annoying using tthe phone now, with the white backgrounds, and tiny black letters.....

By the way, is there actually anyone from sony reading this????

Just checked the new Z1 compact today at the shop. Its the same for all sony models.

Ugly and terrible white backgrounds on everything...

Samsung by the way. Has it, black bckgrounds...

I wrote a mail to Sony today on this subject.... It seems to be more than me and my colleagues on the road here in northern Sweden that don't like those changes on our phones.... Here it follows.

Hello!

Just like many other users of Sony mobile phones I'm not too happy with the changes of background colours in menues, dailer and so on. Why have you removed the option to change the backgrounds to black instead of white??

I'm a truckdriver in the northern parst of Sweden and workins both days and nights. I use the phone in my work all the time but beacause of the white background the phone has become a real hazard to me and others when I get blinded at night when the phone rings or I have to call someone. Yes, I know there are a bunch of apps that take care some of these issues, but I'm not interested of installing a bunch of crappy apps to solve a problem that you at Sony created by shutting down the possibility to change backgrounds to "night mode"!

If you can't adress this issue me and many of my colleagues and friends will NOT reccomend anyone to buy a phone from Sony, despite it's in many aspects one of the best phones we has seen.

Have to agree with all the guys above .BAD idea with the white screen  :smileyangry:.(is it a torch function ?)Please fix .
