Backup and restore not working.

I have had a replacement phone sent to me as mine broke and I have tried to restore my backup. The new phone has got Lollipop and the last backup was done when my phone had KitKat - how can I retrieve this very important data? I use PC companion and have the backup on my PC. (I actually have the last 10)

Sorry, you cannot restore backups made on different software versions. What you can try is to rename the .dbk file to .zip or .rar and see if you can extract some things.
