Backing up contacts

I have tried and tried to back up my contacts with pc companion. The computer says my phone is backed up to real time player. When I try to open up the backed up file it is rejected saying real time player doesn't have the software to support these files!!!

that doesn't sound right, what if you uninstall real player > restart your PC > try again.
