Back cover came off from sides. Plastic bag covering the battery is filled with air.

I have a Xperia Z2 D6503. Been using it for more than 2 years now. 

Few days ago I dropped my phone accidentally and yesterday i noticed the back cover has come off a bit from sides. I opened the cover and noticed the plastic bag covering the battery was filled with air. Battery was not swollen. Battery lifetime is the same as it used to be. 

Should i pierce the plastic bag slightly using a safety pin and remove the air?

Please advice.
