As I understand, there is no support of rSAP for Xperia S model. Device lacks this key feature - support for Bluetooth remote SIM access profile (rSAP). It makes unable to pair with any modern premium car kits which are built into Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Skoda, etc. – an essential feature for business users and executives who were intended to be the main target customers for the Xperia S. Personally I have no idea how to connect Xperia S to PCM (Porsche Communication Management system) at my Porsche Cayenne.
I found one solution for android phones at www.android-rsap.com, but Sony is not in the list of supported phones. That software works only with Samsung and HTC phones.
Are there any plans of implementing rSAP support for Sony Xperia S?
It seems to me that it is easier to buy iPhone...
Please, move my poll rSAP (remote SIM access profile) must be added to Xperia phones with Andoid. Yes or no? to the Sony Xperia™ support forum polls, so that all people can see it and vote.
Sorry, but you are spot on with us currently not supporting this, and I do unfortunately not know of any 3rd party solution that works. Neither do I have any information regarding future changes.
Maybe someone else reading this can help?
The poll feature is not active for the 2012 Xperias unfortunately so I cannot move it.

There are some rSAP apps in the Google Play store, but they are for rooted devices!
See the top 3 items at this link: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=rSAP&c=apps
Edit: Markus, perhaps the developers would be interested in knowing about these existing apps?
Hi,
I've found a free app on Play Store which works to synch the contacts of my Xperia S with the RNS315 radio rSAP (VW): Bluetooth File Transfer...hope it will help you too.
Hi,
this message was from 2012 and now we are one year forward.
I have just received my xperia s and was deeply surprised the bluetooth profile is not supported.
Since it is not only a question of sync of address directory to the car, it is also to use the cars antenna instead of the phone ones.
I am currently in the decision mode to give away the xperia s and get one (probably from another producer) who supports it.
Is there today any update on the horizon. It can only be a software issue and others have it included.
