automatically turn off when using the phone

User since March 2013. My Sony Xperia SL will sudden turn off when I'm using it. Have been facing this issues for 11 days.
I have tried all the suggested ways,
Force shut down,
Turn on the phone in safe mode where no apps are running,
Normal reset involving settings reset,
Factory reset using the PC companion.
Fix the Jb version by using PC COMPANION.

The problems still persists. Especially when I am using the phone. Also when the battery level is below 50%.

Sometimes, the phone even show the word over heating and automatically turn off where the phone during that time is cold.


Any solutions to this issue?

If you repaired phone software and still having problems,I suggest taking the phone to a close sony center for more help.

Should be the way of doing it. When the warranty is still there.

I had similar issues with my old Xperia X10 a few years ago.  It always seemed to turn off while I was using the camera.  I went through the whole factory reset, etc. and even sent it off for repair, all to no avail.  It turned out to be a battery on its last legs.  I put a new battery in it and it was back to normal.

Bad thing for Xperia SL is, it has a built-in battery.

If you have the skills you can replace the battery but this would void any warranty you have
