i got my Z1C three weeks ago, and i'm still occupied with personalization it and learning to know Android 4.3 (still using Xperia Ray with 2.3).
there are some awkward things i don't understand or like, and one of these is the display content sensitive background brightness aka 'Optimized Backlight'.
This non-deactivateable feature is hardly annoying during watching a movie, or more; looking at pictures! the 'contrast' (i know, brightness) in dark pictures smoothly dimms out, the colors, bright details and the brilliance in the pictures fade away. this makes no fun to view at them.
i beg you, provide me a checkbox to deactivate it. this dumb feature brings me no benefit for 'Richer, truer colours, and super sharp images', like Sony promises in the commercials.
hi;
mate chek out this cool app this may help you to solve your problem out https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hatcyl.android.Disable_Auto_Brightness&hl=en
and chek out this tread also http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1s/Z1-Display-Auto-brightness-bugged-out/td-p/387071
if this helps give me kudos and accept the solution
hello zakirox,
i'm afraid, we talk about different things. the auto brightness app, you linked first, is a workaround to fix the built-in brightness ambient sensor.
and the second link, describes a bug, whitch my cell don't have. happily.
the option you mentioned it, is a checkbox calling 'adapt to lightning conditions' in the display brightness settings, witch is possible to activate in my cell, and will work perfectly in my Z1C.
i think, i explained my problem clear enough. so, no, i can't give you any whatchamacallit. but thank for your effort.
