Automatic date and time (and/or) automatic time zone not working

I travel frequently and exchange one of the SIM with a local SIM (that is why I bought a dual SIM phone!!)

Unfortunately every time that I remove the battery I have to input the correct Date and Time (default is 01/01/1980!!). Ticking the "Automatic date and time" and/or "Automatic time zone" does not work.

Any clues why and how to fix?

it is actually a network dependent feature, or sometimes you need to be connected via data network to be able to have auto date time change.,

Yes when you click Automatic Date and Time is a network feature and I have a billion cellular phones where it works perfectly. Only on the Xperia Tipo Dual is not working.

If I untick that feature is also not working. When you remove the battery and turn on again, it does not hold the previous date and time (it puts 01/01/1980 and 00:00)

I need Sony to fix this error

why dont u try resetting the phone to factory settings or just re install the os using pc companion.

no. but i have 3 androids. two of them being sony
