automatic camera flash/photo light

Hi there, I recently got my xperia ray and was disappointed to find that the camera flash/photo light is manual on and off. I think it's a very basic feature that the phone should have.

Is there a workaround or something to make the flash automatic or say turn on 1-2 seconds before taking a photo?

sorry but how does this help? Using that is worse than switching it on through the camera app!

I share your sentiment. My friends get blinded when I take a photo of them using it.

even the camera flash on the Arc it's really bright, it is a good and bad thing, it's great sometimes but sucks that we can't control the brightness
