Autofocus completely stopped working

Hello, I'm facing huge issue right now, my Xperia S has lost ability to focus objects which are located further than 5 inches from the lens; the autofocus seems to be locked in that position. The aforementioned problem occurs in 3rd party apps too. Update from ICS to JB didn't fix that, however I had done it without factory reset if that's significant. Any help would be appreciated.

First of all you can try to clear data from the camera application. Go into settings > apps > the "all" tab > camera > clear data.

Restart the phone and try again.

If the problem persists I recommend that you repair the phone software using the program PC Companion:

Don't forget to backup your phone before repairing the phone software.

I cleared the data, and repaired the software through PCC, but it didn't help.
