AudioEffectService drain battery

With application that I installed from google play store, i find data AudioEffectService is the top of battery ( 20% ) , memory (20.44MB) and CPU (20,61%) consumption. Compare with battery in setting-battery, top battery consumption is screen (33%).

I charged my battery 100% completed on 11 hours ago, and now still 27% remains.

As long as in time above,  I did not used my phone for long opening screen, just standby, send only 10 SMS, no phone call. Is it normal ?

Thanks and regards

Hi, try using any other application instead of that app you installed, as it is sucking life out of your battery and CPU clock. And yea, rest of the thing is normal. Screen will take 30% of the battery and if you have kept Data Enabled on, it is obvious that the battery drains soon inspite of using.

It is very odd for the audio effect service to be using any measurable amount of battery. I would advise uninstalling whatever it was you installed. It would also be nice if you advised us what the application so that others can be aware.

Thanks Sam,

My phone is not rooted, virgin yeah ...

Application that can read audio effect service battery consumption is " All-in-one Toolbox(17 Tools)", you can find it in google play store.

I have removed all of aplications that I have added before ( games, other android tools), but with " All-in-one Toolbox(17 Tools)", audio effect service is still  the top rank of battery consumption (20%).

Audio effect service cannot be uninstalled. Is it applicationIs from Sony ?

In A few minute ago, my battery level in 72%, I switch off the my Xperio Neo L, then replace battery, wait about 30 seconds, install the battery again and then swict on. Amazing, the battery level is only 10 %. What happen with my phone ?

And The last, yo recommended to me to un-install " All-in-one Toolbox(17 Tools)" ?

Best Regards

It is a default application that is used by the preinstalled music player. As we have ruled out third party application interference I would advise running an update/repair:

Hello Sam,

What about the AudioEffectService?

I have a Xperia S with the same problem.

I am root. What will happen if I uninstall or erase it?

Isn' t it very strange that this app has permission to my location, all my accounts etc. My guess is that this is unofficial google's spyware
