ARE CUSTOMER SERVICES ALIVE?

Or do I simply hand my grievance over to the BBC Watchdog programme to get some action?

Well. What a customer experience I have had with Sony Ericsson.

Have been a Sony user for nigh on 30 years, including the C903 handset as my forth handset.

But what a pile of useless junk it is. It has been my worst phone in 20 years (including the original People's Phone "Brick") and by far the most miserable communications experience of my life. It drops calls. It goes on the Internet when in the pocket. When you pick it up to answer it, it sends a busy tone. Battery life 2 days max. A horrible handset.

So I contacted Sony Ericsson customer services via email facility on website on Monday 6th September. Still waiting. So I contacted tham again on Monday 20th. Still waiting.

Now I won't phone one of those unnecessary and evil 0870 numbers, so I sought and used an alternative. The poor lady at Kohn and Nagle (where Sony are based) says she is getting up to 30 calls a day since they moved - this has to say something both about use of 0870 numbers and customer services.

Otherwise, there is no way of contacting Sony Ericcson.

Can anyone offer a reasonable suggestion about how to get in touch with them, or should I just write to BBC Watchdog today instead and get them to investigate why it is impossible to get through to Sony Ericsson "Lack Of" Customer Services.

Sony need tyo remember the basis of mystery shopping - I have told five people about this. They have possible related it to 3 people themselves. So now there are 15 people since yesterday who know of my lousy Sony Ericssson experience. How many will now by the end of the week, eh?

Oh. Forgot to mention. Contacted the Sony Press Office from their number on the Sony Ericsson website. I was informed they themselves have to use the 0870 number if they need contact customer services.Absolutely abominable! Didn't seem too concerned though that I might contact BBC's Watchdog.

Hi,

Thank you for your post however; we're sorry to hear of the problems you are currently experiencing.

So we may look into this further with you, please could you provide us with your unique Ticket ID? You should have received this in an automated message after you emailed our Customer Services team. If you no longer have this reference, please could you email 'questions.gb@support.sonyericsson.com' again including the following information?

1. Your full name.

2. Full address.

3. IMEI number of handset.

We would then suggest posting your Ticket ID in this discussion so we may arrange for the correct department to contact you directly as soon as possible.

We hope we are able to assist you further with this.
