Hi
I use my Z2 tablet with two different bluetooth devices supporting Aptx. One headset from Creative and one speaker from Altec Lansing. When I connect the headset I have a message 'aptx device connected' while using the speaker I Just get the standard connection message....
Any idea ? There is no specific setting available on the speaker, or I did not find it....
Thank you. :smileysmileythumbsup:
Hi Sergio
The speaker is Altec Lansing Soundblade XL

Well... Altec doesn't even list it on their website. I thought it will be possible to find some info.
Do you know someone with recent Apple Mac computer? The point is to see if the speaker is actually supporting aptX on other devices.
Back to mac... connect it to the computer and start playing some music. Could be iTunes, YouTube or Spotify. Then, while music is playing press and hold left ALT key. While holding ALT press Bluetooth icon on top bar and scroll down to the speaker. You will see connection details and used codec among them. Look for "Active codec" field. Note that it will be filled only while music is playing.
Bluetooth devices can support three main codecs... SBC, initial one, MP3 and aptX. Maybe your device is supporting MP3 too and while playing music of this type connection is not estabilished at aptX. I'm making a guess.
