Apps Stopped Alert

i own Sony xperia neo V. I have a problem to open my settings. its appear "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped."

Also, this kind of things happen when i try to type something on search box and login box. the apps will stop and theres a stopped alert appear. i try to reinstall my software update but cannot do that either.....

You will need to reinstall the firmware to fix this so can you please elaborate on what problem you are facing when trying to perform this function?

is this the right way to reinstall the firmware?

i click on repair my phone/tablet.

while the system checking the phone, my phone suddenly turn off by itself.

than, this instruction appear. i follow the instruction but nothing happen n i keep getting 'USB device not recognized'

is there other way to settle this prob?

now it getting worst. not only i cant open 'setting', also cant open several apps such Ymail, whatsapp, dropbox, etc.. Always receive "Unfortunetly, ....... has stopped"
