Okay first of all I know there are threads in this forum about this topic but the "resolution" seems to be about the app itself not its data
My issue, and I'm fairly certain I've seen others with the exact same problem, is that some apps can generate a lot of data and when you go to see their storage breakdown in the settings it will tell you how much is in internal storage and how much is on the SD card. See the screenshot below:
As you can see it says 3.21GB of this app's data (forget about the 132MB part of the app itself supposedly being on the SD card) is located on the SD card. However I know this isn't true if I check the breakdown of how much Android tells me is available on my SD card, as per the screenshot below:
This tells me only 1.56GB of data is currently used on my SD card, so how come twice as much (and some), for this example app alone, is supposed to be stored there? This suggests a massive issue with storage.
Essentially my SD card which is supposed to work as storage relief for apps I have installed is for all intents and purposes totally useless and I would like to know whether this is an issue which someone has found a satisfactory solution to. I'm quite tired of constantly having to flush data from apps just because I'm running out of storage space just to run an apps update.
And I repeat, this is NOT about the app itself supposedly being half stored on the SD card, it's about its Data.
