Application shortcut reset!?

After I finished browsing the web yesterday i returned to the homescreen and notices that my application shortcut were all gone but my widgets were still there. I opened my app drawer and all my apps and icons were missng and it was just blank pages. I had to turn off my phone twice just to get the icons back and my custom order of the apps were all messed up too. Did anyone else have this problem? This is pretty serious because I dont want to have to reorder all my icons If this happens again.

This sounds as though the homescreen has reset itself. I would suggest performing a Factory Data Reset to clear out bad data. To perform this task do the following,

Menu > Settings > Privacy > Factory Data Reset.

Note: this will remove all data from the handsets memory, but will not touch a SIM card or memory card.
