I'm about to send this thing back to the retailer. AOSP is the only thing it might have going for me. The screens viewing angles are terrible. Bleutooth apt-x bug and geotagging camera crash bug are annoying the **** out of me. Can't customize the contrast settings... battery barely lasts longer then my previous phone with 2300mah battery. Sorry to say this but ... this is a premium piece of junk and there is way better out there on the market for this price point. If im gonna pay that much for a phone, i expect the very best... and its simply not.

There's currently no information available regarding AOSP for Xperia Z1. When/if available it will be published on our blog and/or developer page.

I also would like to know if there will be an AOSP release for the Z1.   I was considering buying one for me and one for my wife, but that won't happen until I see official AOSP running on it.

So... should we expect AOSP and get the Z1 anyway? or should we consider something else while you decide to tell us?
