Any solution to flash bleeding yet?

Hi,

I was just wondering if there is some solution to the flash bleeding problem officially suggested by Sony (I am not drawing a circle around the lens nor am I replacing the rearside on my own). My Z1C was manufactured in week 6 of 2014 and unfortunately, it is one of the faulty pieces. It is not obvious in all pictures, only in those shot in the dark with flash. I remember that some time ago Sony in Germany acknowledged this problem, but I haven't been able to find a solution. Was this acknowledged by Sony globally already? (I don't want to send my phone to repair to have it returned in a month with a note that it's working fine and nothing's wrong - I can't afford to be so long without my phone and without a guarantee that it will be repaired/replaced).

Thanks for replies!

You have to contact Sony directly

You mean newer Z1C phones don't have the bleeding problem? If that's the case, then Sony should replace/repair all models sold before. Please keep us informed about their answer.

Sony in Germany stated that it affects only some models manufactured until week 12 (I am not sure of the exact date, but they definitely stated that from a certain manufacturing date on, the problem doesn't appear). I don't know if it is a marketing move just to assure the potential customers that if they buy their Z1 Compact now, it will be ok, or if it really has been solved (I hope they repaired it). All the time I have just been hearing people complain about having this flash bleeding problem, but no-one confirmed, that Sony is repairing these faulty pieces.
Quote: "We are pleased that Sony Germany has acknowledged this particular issue though, where the issue is touted to affect only a low number of Xperia Z1 Compact units, and this particular issue had also been fixed in newer devices."

I can't find anywhere a suggesion what can the owners of these faulty devices do. The support of Sony in my country is quite bad (well, of any corporation in general, not only Sony), I have my own experience of getting something fixed (I had my faulty firmware in Xperia S fixed only after a letter fom my lawyer and a threat of trial.. it took over three months to solve.), so I don't want to be in such a bureaucratic mess again..
I would like to know if someone actualy got an official response concerning this problem, not just a response quoting some parts of users manual and that "no such problem appears on Z1 Compact devices".
I will try to get their response again, if they haven't changed their attitude towards this problem since last time.

Well i sent my Z1 C in for repair after having really bad flash bleed.  They reset the phone, tested it and sent it back unfixed and it still takes **bleep** pictures in low light situations and crashes every few images, phone was made 14w7.

They couldnt have even checked the camera in a low light situation in the service centre as my phone seems to suffer from bleed badly and any slightly dull picture gets a stupid blue haze over the bottom.

I now also think the camera may have damaged the battery too as after trying to record a few videos, the phone got almost too hot to hold and kept turning off, again.  Now i get under 1 days battery using Stamina mode when before i could almost get 3.  Ive even factory reset the thing using sus and it still doesnt get the battery life i got a few weeks ago.

Now im stuck with this 'rigged pos on an expensive contract and the 2 things i bought it for, decent camera and battery life are now nfg only 9 weeks in.
