Another unknown icon on status bar.

So in the far left of the status bar is something that looks a bit like a cog with two arrows, pointing in opposite directions, on its right.
When I swipe down it comes up with a grey bar but with no writing and you can't do anything with it or get rid of it.
Any ideas?

@ATR75 could you try your mobile in Safe Mode & see if it is still there.....normally a 'cog' symbol is some form of settings

It was something to do with configurations
