hi guys,

really need some help here. I have a 2 week old Z1 compact where the batts totally ran out. I got home, plugged it in, and waited for an hour before realizing that i still can't switch it on.

So far I've tried the following.

1, when i plug it in, it shows a solid red light.

2. If I do a power + vol. up button reset or red button reset, the notificaition light will blink for about 10 seconds, and then go back to a solid red light.

3. if the on/off button is pressed when disconnected from the USB charging cable, it will flash red 3 times.

4. Phone has been reset, and left on to charge for the last 8 hours, but still nothing.

It is driving me crazy. would appreciate any help here.

Hi there,

Try the following:

Connect your phone to a wall charger > Press and hold "Power Button" and "Volume Up" at the same time for 10 seconds(3 vibrates) - or press and hold OFF Button for 10 seconds > Let it charge for 2 hrs > Repair/re-install with Sony Update Service.
