Android 4.2.2 battery issues!

Before the 4.2.2 update, I could watch two whole movies of around 120 minutes, on my phone, and it went from 100% battery to about 10-15%. After the 4.2.2 update, I can barely watch a movie, and the battery is almost gone. Watched a 122 minute movie and the battery went from 50% to 4% after one hour of playback, so I couldn't even play the whole movie.

I don't understand how a software update can ruin the battery life so badly. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Are you certain that you don't other apps running in the background draining your battery? Or syncing constantly?

Yes. I checked everything. Nothing has changed, except for my battery life ..
