Rooting "might" void your warranty. I'm not responsible if anything happen to your phone (nothing should go wrong,, if something do go wrong, just repeat the whole process).
Ok I still don't know how to update to ICS i have flashed this to my Xperia Arc: LT15i 4.0.2.A.0.62 Generic Global World: http://ul.to/lpdhtmqi/LT15i_4.0.2.A....obal World.ftf but it is still 2.3.4 so what do I need to do next? Please tell me
you downloaded the 2.3.4 firmware instead of the 4.0.4

download 4.1.B.0.43
ok, but isn't that arc s ? and also is there a chance you can provide me with a different link because when I'm trying to download this I can't because I have reached the limit and I have to wait another hour
Is there any German ICS ftf data for Xperia pro, because I've flashed the one from xda forum on my phone and now is the Z button switched with the Y button on my Smart Keyboard. Because my Smart Keyboard is QWERTZ and not QWERTY.
I'll post it as soon as I find it, if any other user finds it, please PM so I can add it, the same goes with any other firmware to any other Xperia.
Let's keep this thread updated
i do not want to do the manual update as rooting may void my warranty.so please can u tell me the ethical process?
ethical process? there isn't anything unethical about this process, just stick with PCC and/or SUS.
Thank you very much for this, I have managed to update my phone to ICS but there are a lot of apps that are included in this update and I just want to know if there is a way to delete some of them such as warnersVOD etc.
first go to the app drawer and try to delete them, if you can't delete them then yes you could potentially delete all the bloatware
