Android 4.0.3 apps on 2.3.4???

Hi, i've been reading a lot on the site here. There are some valuable tips and tricks available, but I'm still not sure about 1 thing.

I've done the ICS upgrade for my Arc S, but I hated the missing things that I had in GB version. The big photo when someone calls being the major issue for me. Also the camera button on the lockscreen is nothing for me. I need to mute my phone in an instant. Also the camera software and the 2 photo galleries was more miss than hit for me. The only option for me was to go back to firmware .62. The latest GB firmware.

The plus side, was the look of 2 apps I use frequently. That would be Facebook and IMDB. The look of these apps was very clear and sharp in comparisson to the GB versions of this app. Like they had a higher resolution or something. Very crisp looking. Loved it!

Now is my question, is there a way to fool the app store in thinking I run 4.0 or are the 4.0 apps available for download else were? Is it in any way possible to run those crystal clear looking apps on my GB firmware???

There isn't any such way, ICS or 4.0.3 apps are not compatible with any earlier Android version like 2.3.4 or 2.3.3 etc.

However some Gingerbread apps runs on ICS though. But that doesn't help i guess.

I don't think so. I think the app developers needs to optimize the visuals for ICS phones if you experience this problem.
