Allow exceptions setting does not work for scheduled silent mode

Hi,

My phone is at 23.4.A.0.546.  Since the last update, the setting under Sound and Notification > Silent Mode > Exceptions, when set to "allow exceptions", does not seem to work when the phone goes into a scheduled silent mode.

When the phone does go into the scheduled silent mode, it is completely silent without exceptions despite that setting in the Sound and Notification page.  I have to press the volume control and set "allow exceptions" to true every time.

In my opinion, this should be a high priority issue to fix, since it makes the scheduled silent mode unusable for anyone who wants to silence notifications but still let calls through (which I think is probably a lot of people).

Have others encountered this issue, and could Sony please confirm that it's a known issue?

Thanks,

Greg

Well it never used to work that way that we need to manually do it. Its a broken function and I'll have to think about a 3rd party app or getting an iPhone where this function works fine.

Hi there.

I'm a fresh owner of a Z3C and since I have had previous experience with "Priority Mode" on a Nexus device and on 5.1.1. I know that it should work but for some reason it doesen't.

So when scheduled the Priority mode does not go into efect until you toggle it regardles of your setings for exceptions, it just simply goes into Silen mode and you have to toggle the Exception switch for it to go into Priority mode.

Sony should give us the Priority mode like it was meant to be on the Nexus devices because it is perfect like that!

Please Sony, do something for your PAYING CUSTOMERS!

This issue appears to be resolved after the lastest update (23.4.A.1.232). It actually may have been fixed in the previous update (23.4.A.1.200) however I skipped that one as it makes our phones fully vulnerable to Stagefright.

Something to note: If you set scheduling to begin before and end after the current time then Do Not Disturb wont turn off automatically the first time (but it works correctly after that).

As Holspeed says, with the latest software version, 23.4.A.1.232, exceptions for scheduled silent mode should work.
