Album duplicating pictures

Take a picture: it will be stored under /DCIM/Camera folder

Open QuickPic: it shows the picture under the Camera album

Open SonyAlbum: under the Images tab you will find the same picture under the current month label

Open a file manager and move the picture from /DCIM/Camera folder under the /Pictures folder

Open QuickPic: it shows the picture under the Pictures album

Open SonyAlbum: under the Images tab you will find two copies of the same picture under the current month label; if yoh look at the details of both pictures, one comes from /storage/emulated/0/Pictures and one from /storage/emulated/legacy/Pictures

Now I know that they areboth access pointsto the same physical folder, so tehre are not actually two copies of the same pictures, still Sony album sees both of them. I tried clearing cache, data etc. with no avail.

Try settings-apps-all-media storage,clear data.Restart your phone.

Ok but I wonder why only sony album on Images tab has this problem and inly when moving pics

An update for the album app.I thought you received it.But have you tried clearing data for media storage?

Nope, I solved clearing data from solid file explorer

Ok,so now it works fine?

I have cleared media storage and now quickoic is showing as usual all correctly while sony album is showing only SOME OF the pictures.

I have only 3 pics under /pictures/ folder and sony shows only 1

I had to FORCEBA MEDIA RESCAN to have sony album show all 3 pics...

Sorry but this 4.3 sw is a total crap:

- Album is a mess duplicating pictures

- Sound enhancements not working with 3rd party apps

- Latest update of sony social makes answered call on loudspeaker by default

Not to mention bad camera and low sound from external loudspeaker
