after software update sim card cannot be detected

Please help me! I got my sony xperia S updated last night but after I updated it my micro sim card wont work anymore, it says sim card cannot be detected, but i've been using that sim card ever since I used my phone..please please help!

most likely you have a faulty SIM card, just get a new MICRO SIM card
