Adding ringtones on the W518a

I have MP3 files I want to use for ringtonws, but the W518a won't let me select them, even when they are placed in the ringtone folder. It says they can't be selected and the select option is greyed out.  Is there something special that needs to be done to the files?

Good question.  I would like to know myself.  I have the same phone, DL'ed a LSU video from YouTube, converted it to MP4 then transferred it over with USB cable.  It plays fine but now I want to do what you are doing and add new ring tones.

I have solved the problem.  I used Tone This Ringtone Maker that is a free program at http://www.download.com.  The ringtone can only be between 20 and 30 seconds long or there abouts, longer files won't work.

Thank you for that INFO.  I will try the same you are using.  Is there a link to explain where to put the new ringtones from my PC to the Phone by USB cable?
