Accelerometer, Gyro, Compass all stopping.

Hi,

I've been playing around a lot with my SmartWatch 3 these last couple of days (I've had it a week) and a couple of times all the sensors seem to crash.
It is fine after a reboot, but obviously not ideal!
I've switched on developer setting and the accelerometer, gyro, magnometer, compass , light sensor all stopped showing information.

Will this be covered in the first firmware update?

Cheers,

Willem.

Not sure what you exactly did. Enabling developer settings does not stop sensors from working, at least for me. How did you detect this behaviour, by using a Google Play store app or your own code? And be aware that the compass is actually unusable because of a system bug. Hopefully to be fixed with the eagerly awaited system update. My Samsung Gear Live did get it already yesterday, so hopefully Sony will follow ASAP.

I didn't switch on the developer options until after I encountered the problems.

I noticed something wasn't right when the watch wouldn't wake up when I turned my wrist, and it also stopped counting my steps. I then looked in the developer options to see if anything was amiss there and clearly something had stopped picking up the data from the sensors as everything was zero or blank.

I don't actually do any developing on the watch, I just wanted to check the sensor data.

I know about the bug on the compass, it dems to work, but just points in the wrong direction slightly! I have a watch face with a compass and I manually put in a correction to make it kind of usable.

Good to know the system update might be on its way soon!

I didn't save a bug report, but is anyone at Sony actually looking at this stuff?

Hopefully SONY does...

Did you try a factory reset yet?

Yes! Thats how i seem to have fixed it, factory reset, then the latest android wear update dropped and i've not had any problems with the sensors at all since.

It was probably just one of those things, something got stuck in a loop and stopped recording the sensors.

Odd behavious, but i was playing with the watch a lot at the time!!
