Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Make sure that you have the latest available software, you can update your phone using PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

I would also suggest that you try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008

If you experience the same behavior in safe mode, I suggest that you try with another SIM card.

Hi Alexander, I have almost the same issue but when I try to call certain numbers. Certain calls (numbers) won't go through (even though sometimes do) and my NEW Xperia Go inmediately locks its screen after the first tone. How can this be solved? Thanks!

Also test the proximity sensor using Xperia diagnostics:

It sounds like there may be some network error. If you have checked that you have the latest available software, I suggest that you try with another or a new SIM card in your phone to see if you still experience the same behavior on the 3G network.
