A new firmware update 6.1.A.2.45 for Xperia S

Hiii guys..

New firmware for sony is rolling out now..its just an device firmware update..still in ICS only

The new firmware is smoother,batterylife is also improved..still some bugs in camera and phone over heating needs to be solved...

Hope sony members will make sony xperia s better in Jelly Bean Update,,,

I am from Greece and i have just manually update my phone using flashtool.All went ok everything works fine.Problem with fm radio distortion disappeared.

I'm in the UK on an unlocked phone and not got it yet, but i didn't get the ICS update until nearly the end of the SI updates so i'm not expecting to get it for another week or so.

I'm From Indonesia, and i just update to latest firmware. everything is working good, camera (the main reason i bought xperia s, has improved very well) now i'm fallin in love (again) with my xperia s. Good Job team, respect your hard work

yes. PCC shows the new update for me too!
But, is it worth updating? I mean, many ppl say the battery backup is so bad in this. this one makes me think

I have just updated the OS. I dont think the battery backup will be bad coz that would hit back sony:smileywink:. Anyways finally i got the lockscreen wallpaper issue sorted out. Though it works with slide lock only. I am yet to check for other features like FM distortion, slow autofocus etc. WIll keep posted when i check back those..

Just posting my reviews after the new update:

1. Fm radio sound distortion problem has been solved. Finally:smileyhappy:

2. Lock screen wallpaper now is working perfectly. But it only works if the security is selected to slide. What about 'pattern'?

3. Camera autofocus seems to be solved, though i haven't used it extensively

4. Battery backup seems same to me. No change from the previous update

5. Got one useful widget for Powersaver (don't know if it was available previously). It displays the battery percentage and one touch to start power saver. Very handy

Dont't know if anything more is available. Really want the small app functionality of new phones (Xperia T, V). Waiting for JB now:smileyhappy:
