I bought a X-10 mini 2 months ago from services provider '3' in HK. After one month, the speaker became no sound and I brought the cell phone to the customer service centre in Mongkok on 10/7. The staff told me that the spreaker needed to be replaced. It should take about a week and they would call me to pick-up. After a week, I had not received any call from the service centre and then I called to check. The staff told me that it should take another week as the parts were not yet received. So I waited for another week. But of course no call to inform me what was going on. As everybody know that the services hot line and custom services centre telephone line are always busy. I left a message and wait for reply. Again no body answered me. This morning, I called the Customer service centre again (luckily suceeded in 2 times) and requested to talk to the manager. I just asked he to tell me when and any another althernative proposal such as replace a new phone or pay the difference for another model. But he said that he was not in the position to make such decision. I asked him to find soneone who have the authorisation to make such decision and answer me today. In the lunch time, I received a phone call from a guy who seems to be a technican from repair department. Again he said that still don't know when the stock will come and when I can get my cell phone back. He also say that there is no new phone to replace!!! I ask him who is in the position to make the decision and anwer my question. He just give me the Customer serice hotline!!!!!!!!! I don't believe such a big enterprise and famous brand have no parts to repair, no new phone to replace and no people to make the decision. It is unaccetable and make me very disappointed to Sony Ericsson.
ahhh...that happens in hongkong too. Same here in Indonesia. I wonder what the warranties are meant to be. Buying mobile phones these days are just a matter of luck. BTW, that applies not only with SE, but other brands as well, at least here.
