720p HD playback

Hi guys just want to know if I am the only one experiencing this. I tried playing a 720p video mp4 /aac over. Everything is choppy. Im using mobo and MX videp player. I have about 130 mb of free internal memory. and I am using a class 4 card  Do I need to install another third party app just to fix this or is this an unresolved issue. My friend is using an iphone 3....... but he says he had no problem playing 720p videos. I mean compared to iphone 3 , neo has better specs right?

actually i am already using mobo and it automatically shifts to sofware encoding but still you can tell its choppy. What would be the best framerate? cam neo support 30 fps? I will try rock player just to be sure... should I download codecs, if I do what ARM Version should I get

well neo v records at 30fps ( 720p ) , and you can play all the videos captured by it with no problem...so yes this supports 30 fps..

the codecs are automatically added when you install a software...

i dont know what arm version is...:smileyplain:

i might confuse you a lot.. ( my lack of knowledge ) so its better to wait for someone else to reply...

well try to play your video on pc to get a clear picture of what is wrong

or try the stock player  this is the best option i guess..

Like already suggested, try a different player.

Start with the stock player and also have a look at Rock Player. Let me know if there's any difference.

I tried playing it using rock player, I was stilly laggy, at first video and sound is somehow parallel with each other but after a couple of minutes video is very late.... another it seems that the videos that can be played with hardware encoding if pretty fast but once it was played via software then the lag starts? I mean is there a video format that I should avoid? like the number of FPS, sound format or video format?

Have a look at page 13 in this document. You'll find full technical specification on what the phone supports.

I tried playing several 720p movie without conversion, so the file size is a bit large large, about 2 GB. But still the video format is mp4, aac so I was thinking it should work. and based on the tech specs in the link provided by markus, mp4 and acc should work right?
