Hi, I live in the USA, I have unlocked 6906 model from Canada, bought from GSM nation. com. Its advertised that the 6906 model is LTE 4G compatible. I have an account w/ AT&T for 9 yrs w/ 4G LTE on 3 different phones (Family plan). Since I bough my Sony Z-1 I have gotte only H or H+ on the hpsa network. I called AT &T and they had me change the settings for LTE 4G on the Z-1, but I still dont receive it. Anybody can help w/ this??? Frustrating.

Thanks, I put the settings in that you said. I had called AT&T and they gave me diffrerent ones. I did this prior to your posting, and the ones they gave me didn't help. I put yours in and I noticed my "H" or "H+" sign by the 4 bars at the top of my phone disappeared. It had always said H or H+ with the settings the way they were. Should it say for 4G LTE now? Or should it be something different?
Thanks, David
These settings did not work. They would not even connect to the internet or google play. My phone then "auto searched" by itself to start downloading AT&T's internet & mms settings so they could work. SO, I'm back to working w/ "H" and "H+" :((((. I dont understand why my phone will not pick up AT&T's 4G LTE network! sigh, so frustrating.
keep in mind that LTE its not available everywhere, restart your phone and check again
You need to go to your local ATT store. For some reason ATT doesn't allow unlocked LTE devices to work on its network. Only ATT branded LTE phones (i.e galaxy s series) will work. Have sale assoicated put in a fake imei number of one of there LTE phones and it should work.
that is true but he has other LTE devices, I should have asked if you are using one of those mico SIM cards that do work with the other devices
Wait, if I understand this correctly, which kind of scares me, I cannot get LTE if buy an unlocked Sony Xperia Z1 C6906 from Sony's website because AT&T prohibits devices that aren't locked to their network to work on their LTE network?
That's correct but there's a lophole, like it was suggested above
you need to get the IMEI number from a branded AT&T phone > stop by a AT&T store > ask them to add it to your account, then and only then you will be able to use AT&T's LTE
