587 update

Good day!

I plugged my xperia active into my computer today to find out that an update for 587 was available from the PC Companion. Excited, I started the update. The update process went smoothly all the way till the end (it downloaded, processed, etc.) and at the last moment, during the finalization process, the update window closed (by its self) and the PC Companion said that no update was available for my phone (I checked the phone, its still 431). Trying to make it work again, I opened my phone, removed the battery, waited, then put in the battery again and restarted the phone. Again connecting it to the PC showed me the available update. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again. At the end of the update process, I was informed that there was no update available for my device. Can someone please help me with this issue?

After the update, I had some issues with my navigation app (ndrive) today, somehow gps location was always ~20m east of my actual location. it was terribly annoying and misleading the nav app. I have booted my phone several times and finally the problem is gone and i am hoping it is not gonna appear again.

I means GB is good or the most recent .587!

what is the major difference, is it faster like GB or its laggy !

also if i upgrade unofficially to .587 is it necessary to ROOT the unit!!

Im new to android tech, please help me ... if u can!

When I get the message to connect with the micro usb and hold down the volume button to connect. nothing happens, the green indicator lamp  in the top left corner is on and that's it. How long should it take to go further with the update? I have tried SUS and PC Companion no difference... What shall I do?
