5.1.1 update problems

Updated Android this morning and several problems already:

1. Messaging freezes. Cannot use it at all.
2. Contacts - my contacts have all disappeared

There may be other problems that I haven't spotted yet but these 2 mean that my phone is almost useless as a phone because I have no contact details and messaging doesn't work.

Have regretted buying this phone from beginning and will switch as soon as I can but until then I would like the basics to work.

Update: cannot make calls from the phone. Phone keeps crashing and restarting. Beyond bad.

Thank you for your quick response.

The main problem is I can't start my phone. When I press on power button appears the "SONY Xperia" screen and in two seconds dissapear and in other three seconds start again, and it happens in loop.

I can't save my data and PC companion doesn't recognize the mobile.

Another suggestion?
