Hi, I've been an avid user of bluetooth handsfree devices from the Sony Ericsson days which I still have and use for different occasions. I still have the MH100, 2 units of MW600 (black & white) and HBH-IS800. They've worked fine with all my previous devices and current Z1 right up till the 4.3 update. My HBH-IS800 which I bought at a premium price is now totally unusable with it, and while the MW600 connects and plays music without a problem initially, it would stop functioning normally after receiving a phone call. After hanging up, the line to the caller seems to disconnect but the connection between my Z1 and MW600 will not disconnect and I will not be able to listen to music after that and the handsfree battery would just drain out. The only solution is to reboot the MW600 and I can use it normally again until the next phone call. I hope the next update would fix the bluetooth issues which I can see is pretty riddled
with bugs as it stands judging from what I'm reading here. I did not expect such sub-standard programming from Sony however I do believe that no one is free from mistakes, but fixing those unacceptable mistakes should be top priority for a reputable company like Sony. Please oh, please fix this, thank you. An instant fix is also welcome if you have a solution to this problem because it has to take ages for a firmware update to iron out these bugs
I've been using Bluetooth for a while now on my Xperia Z1 running on 4.3 as well. I have tested using MW600, SBH50 and SBH52. But I haven't experienced the issues you describe nor have I been able to replicate them according to what you describe. So I don't think the 4.3 update in general is the problem.
I suggest that you try to reinstall the phone software using Update Service..
Before reinstalling your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to.
How to backup?
But please note that before restoring any backup test the phone and check if the concerned issue is still there.
