3g Video Calling

I have called Sony mobile support and was informed the xperia Z1 will support video calling ony when 4g network is available.

I dont see this information in any authentic websites. 

Have anyone seen a concrete message on the mobiles abilty to support video  calling in the future with the carrier.

You should be able to make video calls in 3G also,but you need a 3rd party app for that :viber,skype,tango,hangouts etc.

Alexdon is correct. You can use 3rd party apps for video chatt/call over the 3G/4G Internet. However, Xperia Z1 does not support native 3G/4G video calling.
