32GB µSD-Card not recognized at all

Hello,

I just got my new Xperia L today and I am quite happy with it,

but somehow it does not detect my µSD-Card.

In the sd-card menu entries it only says "Enter SD-Card".

I tried to reformat the card with the computers card reader to FAT32 or to delete the partition completely using gparted,

it still does not show on the phone.

I am happy for any suggestions.

Edit: Got the wrong link for the sd-card, now it is the right one.

Don't try, they will not answer your emails and in the chat they will tell you that they cannot test compatibility of every microSD card with the smartphone.

A sony employee told me to "try with a friend's microSD before buying one"

seems like the RnD department doesn't have enough time to get their job well done..

if they say so,sony.. hear this, even if all of us has the time and resource we need to test every type and every brand of micro sd available out there..i'm pretty sure it's not our job..it's yours,and dont forget to put micro sd limitation on your product website,being able to use up to 32GB doesn't mean your products would be ready for the real one...

It is false advertising using the SD™ logo because they do not comply with SD™ standards.

According to AlvinZahran98 on the XDA-Dev forums update 15.0.A.2.17 (released today through PC Companion) seems to fix amongst other things the storage issue we are complaining about here.

I don't have the 32GB UHS-I Transcend card anymore, so I can't confirm if it is indeed fixed...

Yeah me too, I returned my "faulty" card and am using slower class 4 one.

Hey Guys, My 'SDCard problem' has solved after i updated my phone to 15.0.A.2.17, This update fix Storage problems, Front Camera (Now it has a color), Video Camera (Not lagging anymore), more battery efficient, and the most important is Small Apps!,  so.. every SDCARD issue will be fix on the new Firmware (15.0.A.2.17) trust me

it was right! the 15.0.A.2.17 firmware do fixes the class 10 sd bugs, and my transcend uhs-1 class works flawlessly, well,sorry for being to harsh sony, hereby i declared myself as a happy and satisfied xperia user, keep up the good job, and make sure to tell your representative to blame no one but the corporation itself since it wasn't customer's fault

How can I get that update? When I conect my XL to the PC and go to the PC Companion it says my phone is Updated but I have the firmware 15.0.A.1.31... :s

As some of you already noticed, we have released a new update for the phone (15.0.A.2.17). Please let me know if you still have any problems with SD-cards in this version (but make sure it's not the SD-card by testing the card in another device first).
