2g mobila data does not get enabled

if i keep my mobile data 92g) option disabled for long time and then enable it again, 2g does not get activated. i need to restart my phone and then only it gets activated.

has someone else also observed this issue in Z1?

whats the solution? i don't want to restart my phone every now n then.

Whenever you disable data connection you must allow some time for the connection to be re-established. On some occations the data connection won't be re-established until an application requires the connection.

i give 2-3 minutes time, but still it does not start. i try to open some websites but it says no internet connection. if i restart the device, everything works smoothely

You might have an old or faulty SIM card or poor network coverage, another reason it could be an app acting up such as a taskiller or antivirus

i have taken a brand new sim card recently with the phone itself.  but i am looking to switch to 3g now, so will get a new sim card in few days. lets see if that solves the prlm

and this prlm was even observed when antivirus was not installed in my phone.

Do you have the correct APN settings? how is the 3G coverage in your area? or the 2G coverage?

i dont know how correct is APN setting, but it has been given by my subscriber only.

and 2G network may not be that great in my area, but its not bad also. moreover i have observed the same plroblem in different parts of my city, nit just at one place.

That's quite odd, I still believe its a network issue here
