Xperia XA1 won’t turn on , regular audible buzz when recharging

I’m new to Sony Xperia phones. My phone would not turn on yesterday, so I tried to charge it, thinking the battery was out. When I plugged it in, it has a red flashing light and a regular, audible buzzing sound. 

It’s a few weeks old, in a hone protector case & has a screen protector on

Do you have an SD card in your handset? If so can you remove this then attempt to turn it on as normal.

try to charge your device using the wallmount adapter for 1-2 hours

then turn on the device by pressing vol down + power button, if it doesnt work

try to perform software repair using Xperia Companion
