I am unable to make any multi-channel USB audio device (such as a DJ controller) work with the XA1.
I have tried several Android DJ software (DJAY2, CrossDJ, EDJING, Pioneer WEDJ) and audio players with advanced USB Audio tweaking capabilities (USB Audio Player Pro, PowerAMP) with several USB DJ Controllers (Pioneer WEGO2, WEGO4, Mixtour, Twitch).
It seems that the device cannot activate any of the USB DAC Audio Channels. Once I was able to get a signal with WEGO4 and USB Audio Player Pro, but it was distorted and glitched. The apps seem to even recognize that there is some USB DAC attached (because the menus change accordingly, e,g, in Pioneer WEDJ), but there is no sound.
A single-channel cheap USB headphone works at least with USB Audio Player Pro but that's it.
What's strange is, that the MIDI functions of the controllers are working fine. So I can e.g. connect the Pioneer WeGo2 with Cross DJ or the WeGo4 with WEDJ or DJAY2 and control the app / software via the faders of the controller, but there is never any sound.
I have tried the exact same App / Controller Combinations with other mobile devices (e.g. Lenovo K6, some Samsungs, ...) and there it works.
It seems there is an hardware issue / spec issue with the XA1's OTG / USB-Host-Mode?
Any ideas if this is possible at all with the XA1?
Since USB Audio is supported since Android 6, I have no hope this will improve when the XA1 is updated to Android 8 / Oreo.
