Xperia XA1 bluetooth connection with PS4 controller

i just want to say that it doesnt make sense. how is the PS4 controller not supported by the xperia xa1. even my lg g3 supported the controller on a lower android version. i called the sony support it took the lady 2-3 hours to get back to me and tell me the control is not supported. how dont you have support for your own product. can someone please explain this to me. i just dont get it. dont want to root my phone i saw some other people get it right on the internet.

Man im going through the same headache, just bought a sony xa1 plus and found out they dont support the controller, man it is not cool, it's their own product!!! They always doing this man, i own a pair of sony headphones and they dont work with my ps4, why sony.
