OTG problem seems to be a recurring issue with the XA. When I purchase my first OTG it didn't work with my phone, but the second OTG did which lead me to believe that there was a compatibility issue. This was confirmed when the upgrade to Nougat was installed and the first OTG worked. This is your most likely issue assuming you have already check the pins in the connections
