XA1 LED notification

I love this phone but I don't always get an LED notification for every WhatsApp message or email. I've tried restarting it, turning LED notifications on and off. I used to have this problem on my Galaxy. Is there something in the settings that could make sure I'm alerted to each new  notification?

No I don't have stamina mode on.

Which app notifications are you missing?

All apps show notifications but not all the time. If I have an email for instance, I'll get notified from the first couple of conversations but after that the LED  notifications stop. Same with WhatsApp. The first few messages will show an LED notification but after that it won't. Its really hit and miss.
