transfer issues

Hi, Just updated to an XA1,  Has anybody worked out how to transfer photos from this camera to a Laptop/PC, My last Sony mobile was happy with media go. which cannot even find the images on this new fangled thing, I checked online and was adviced to go to this file or that file to download the images, The Pictures are visable on my phone, but how do you get them into a pc.

Help Much appreciated I have until the 30th to return this phone if I am not happy it Thanks in advance

Just connect your phone to a PC/Laptop and choose "Media transfer protocol" or "MTP" on your phone's screen when prompted. Then use your PC/Mac file explorer to navigate to the photos you want to transfer and use simple copy/paste to transfer them.

Thanks for the reply, I have been trying that. No Images taken on the mobile show up in any directory..So I am still unable to transfer.  (using Windows 10)

Are photos saved by default to the SD card or internal memory? You can know by checking in Camera -> Settings -> More

I have saved to both to a card and internal.. Tried to open both from a pc file manager,

no mobile camera images available, I do have other images uploaded to the mobile using media go. Which I can see though

Thanks for your help anyway. Seems a bit crock having an awesome camera on a phone and you have to go diving into files to highlight and copy the images into a pc,

But no drama's,

You can also give Xperia Companion a try, you have a backup option that you can use for media.

Thanks again for the suggestions, but seriously I should be able to plug the phone into a laptop/pc and be able to transfer the files without need to play Sherlock Holmes trying this and that...Its a bit like building a cat 5 house and forgeting to build a dunnie in it... However as I said No drama's my phone guys have agreed to change the phone tomorrow... so problem solved. Thanks again much appreciated

When I do this, Media Go appears to not recognise my music, saying 'finding new media' and then slowly goes through the whole process of reinstalling the 5000 tracks, which takes about one and a half hours. When it's done, only then can I move items between the phone and laptop. 

Been onto Sony but little help, other than recommending a program to re-convert the files, which I cannot fathom! 

One might expect a new Sony phone to recognise music on Sony Media Go, but no!!!
