strange light on cannot turn off

I just noticed my Xperia XA1 phone the screen light was ON.   I am trying hard to turn the device off but i cannot do it.  
The device is getting hot.
I live in Malaysia now is 2.32am in the morning, i need to go sleep as i start work 8.00am.
Can i leave my device that way (since i cannot turn it off anyway)?
I just bought this new device at Sony distributor on July 2017.
The whole device is brightest with the white color light ON - center with a "XPERIA".
Again no able to turn if off the device.

If you ever experience this again, hold down the power button and the volume up button together until the phone vibrates 3 times. This will force the phone to shut down.
