I have the same issue with my XA Ultra which i bought a month ago. I notice a bump on the back near the nfc logo and immediately brought the phone to Sony Service Centre. The said that the device is bent and not covered by the warranty and charged me for the backcase, side panels and labor. They did not even asked as how to the device got bended.
Hi guys.
Iv had the exact problem with my phone, i was on markig Samsung users about bending phones, only to find out that my Sony xa has now the same problem. Its working perfectly but im afraid it might bend more cracking the screen, its bad. Been only 6months and no i have not sat on it.
This is my first phoe with such a problem, it has been subjected to normal using conditions adding that im a very cautious person with my gadgets.
Mine was fixed by sony center. I paid 1900 for the back case side panels and labor. They didn't answer when i asked if sony xa has this problem.
My phone was not only bent but half screen was also burned
That's sad. Better to go to Sony service center if that would be covered by the warranty.
Unfortunately I have not read this or similar post before purchasing an Xperia XA. My old Sony phone worked well for 4 years, the Xperia XA will not. The screen of the phone burned in after 3 months use in 3-5 mm wide strip started at top right corner. It may caused by internal overheating. The repairman sad, this burning in can happen with IPS screen. At this point I started to feel, Samsung phone could be better choice.
The authorized Sony service replaced the screen, but after two months the same problem occurred again. When I went the service again, they discovered some bending in the phone, and refused the warranty. They wrote, if I pay about 10$, they will tell me the repair cost.
The phone is quite thin, and the side panel at the switch button is very thin. It made from weak materials, and will bend at the switch button. The bending did not affect the operation of the phone, and I’am sure not this caused the screen burning. Some weeks later the back camera picture get unclear. This camera is just behind the start point of screen burning. I think the internal overheating caused wrong focus in the camera.
Before purchasing this phone, I checked lots of forum for customer experience, and found satisfied customers after first use. Sometimes should write experience after some month of use, perhaps it give more help for others.
The phone was too overpriced. Still purchased with hope of better performance and service. Still worked terrible. In my case, company reject it calling it physical damage.
is the screen cracked?
BTW I've edited your post, such posting behavior it's NOT tolerate.
no nothing is cracked..... only bent
no mark of any damage
