side buttons not working

all of a sudden all the buttons on the side have stopped working, wasnt too much of an issue until my phone died and now i cant switch it back on, its fully charged, what can i do to switch my phone on without the power button

Hi @clairetilly, sorry to hear about your phone.

I'm afraid that using there is no option to power on your phone when your power button isn't working and your phone is turned off.

Just to make sure that this isn't caused by the software in your phone, I would recommend that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. Do note that this will delete all data stored on the internal storage of your phone and since you can't power on your phone, creating a backup won't be possible.

If there is no change after the software repair has been completed, your phone will need to be examined by a trained technician at an authorized service centre. Your Local support team will arrange a repair for you so I would recommend that you get in touch with them!
