sd card as default storage

i am having a hard time changing my default storage. my internal storage is full and it will not automically change to the sd card. how can i make the sd card as a default storage?

Hi @gigixa, thanks a lot for your question.

I'm afraid that you can't make the SD card in your phone the default storage for when for example, downloading applications.

You can however change so the Camera application automatically saves photos/videos to your SD card instead of the the internal storage. To do that, open up the Camera application > tap the gear icon > More > Data storage > SD card.

You can also transfer certain applications to your SD card (do note that all applications can't be transferred to an SD card). You can do so if you go to Settings > Apps > tap on an application > Storage > Change > SD card > Move.

To make sure that all your media is stored on the SD card, go to Settings > Storage & memory > Transfer data > OK. Now all media that can be moved to the SD card will be moved.

Great question, I had the same and thanks for the reply to the moderator. But, every time you update any application transferred to the SD card, this application goes back to the internal memory. How to fix it?

I'm afraid that there is no setting to change the behaviour when updating applications. The application will need to be on the internal storage for it to be updated and you will have to move it to the SD card again.

Sony must release new firmware/patch to allow sdcard as default storage as what Huawei did especially for devices below 16gb. Please avoid from using mtk chipset . I had horrible experience with GPS positioning
