Are you only going to record audio or both video and audio? For audio recording, there are plenty of good applications in the Google Play store and we have our own recording application which I have used a couple of times and I really like it.
You can find it on the link below, but there are also other applications to choose from if you just search for "record audio", "audio recording" or similar in the Google Play store.
